Poverty: Poverty in JIBIKA means a state of deprivation from basic survival needs such as food, shelter, health, clothing which are governed by the earning capacity of a certain person. Therefore a person who is not earning enough to meet these physiological needs is considered to be in poverty. JIBIKA will therefore opt in creating better earning opportunities for them to meet their basic physiological needs.
Poor:
Poor in JIBIKA are mostly referred as ultra-poor who are often neglected or excluded by other NGOs due to their narrowly focused mandates. These people are also considered to be have-nots in terms of food, shelter, health and clothing. People having no Education is therefore our secondary concern as Education comes after survival. However to survive better, Education is necessary hence JIBIKA will also recognize the people who are poor by knowledge to prosper.
JIBIKA will work for creating empowerment which can be economic and social with the aim of leading to a long-term sustainable change in the lives of the extreme poor.
