UPDATES: BDT 2500 appx. raised to support this person  Babul has been donated a black goat with its required feed and vitamins. He is expected to bring it up and make a business out of it on a sustainable basis. THE STO RY Md. Babul Sheikh, a crippled middle aged man, abandoned by his wife and kids, struggling hard to earn his bread on a daily basis. He is a dweller of an isolated land near Rupsha river in Khulna district. Earlier in his life, he used to work as day laborer before he broke his leg falling from a date tree while collecting date juice. Since his disability, due to poverty and hunger, his wife and children left him alone. Today he looks after other people's land and gets some food in return. The townsmen have built a small shed for his shelter. |

Updates: The elder brother, after having treated at the Kidney Foundation Hospital, has been released. He is in home now and requires complete rest. During his treatment he took 14 injections each costing 5000 taka apart from the lodging cost. JIBIKA bore all the cost.
Dear Contributor(s) We cou ld not save Mainul, He died on the 9th morning as he was having dialysis. Later he was buried in Mirpur. We shall divert all the resources collected for him to save his elder brother who also has been going through severe post transplantation infection since last few months. We shall admit him in BIRDEM on Sunday (15th May 2011) for about a month and bear his medical expenses until he recovers well. Allah willing, we don't want his father to lose the 2nd son also. Please tell us if you are fine with us using the fund for the elder brother. Otherwise we shall return your contributed amount.

JIBIKA Foundation will be awarding Full Tuition Scholarship for the Poor Students who can not complete or pursue undergraduate studies after their higher secondary education. Applications are taken all the year round. Eligibility Criterion: - Must be Bangladeshi Resident National
- Family Income below BDT 10000 per month
- Age not over 20 years
- Possess 1st Division or Golden A in at least one level of studies (Either SSC or HSC)
- Admitted or Intend to Study in Public College/Universities
